Mom and Step- Mom

Being a mom is the best thing that ever happened to me, i seriously thank The most high for my kids, for getting the chance to experience motherhood. Loving them is easy as ABC and 123. Even though i have days where i just wanna be alone with my husband. Just the two of us and Silence. But then we always end up talking about kids anyways, which officially proves how much kids occupy our minds and days.

I love my kids unconditionally, and i was blessed with a step son that i have grown to love as well. He had trouble accepting me in the start, but thats kinda expected coz a lot had happened in his life prior to me meeting his dad.
I came into the picture with my girl, got pregnant within a year, and then his mom moved to another country right after. His father was the only stable human being at the time, and so i totally understand he had to be careful with accepting me. Now he calls me mom, my God what an honor, he trusts me enough to call me mom.

I know i still have to be careful on how i act around him, on what i say and how i say it. I still will have to keep making him trust that i didn't come into his life to steal his father.

• I already from the start backed off and let him enjoy some alone time with daddy, 
• If he wanted to sit in the between us  and hang on daddy, i would back off and let him. 
• If I had things to say, i would do it once or twice and let his dad take over, so it didn't look like i was after him, i still do that. 
• He can see and hear that i dont let my ´own´ kids get away with things coz he knows all the kids in our house are treated the same. 
• If he tries to challenge me sometimes,  i always try to keep my cool, and make sure that i approach him in a calm manner, coz shouting doesn't help anyones case. 
• I defend him.

Now the challenge is, my own daughter feels like i love her step brother too much and she is afraid to lose me to him. If only she could see my heart! She knows i will never replace her, and i do my best to have girl time with her, and make her feel special, but the jealousy keeps me from being completely open coz i dont wanna hurt any of them.
