My Mothers Prayers and instincs The Newspaper Man My mother is a woman of prayer and faith.  And she always has patience and a strong belief  that her prayers will be answered sooner or later. In this story, it happened sooner than she expected. The year is 1988, I had just moved back home to my my parents and four other siblings after being away for 8 years. I used to live with my grandma Asha who had offered to take care of me while mum took care of  my new born little brother, whom she gave birth to only 1 year and three months after was i was born. I was only 1 year and three months and having two small babies in the house would have been too much for my mum. Now i was just an 8 year old who just came in from a very different environment and rules. The routine of being back home and getting used to my siblings and the life my family had, took a while to sink in . My grandma used to live in an indian sponsored home, so food for all the residents was a guaran...

Ah, sometimes it looks so easy to be on maternity leave, but then your child grows, he needs more attention than before. but thats ok, youve got your schedules covered. But its less than a month before you have to be back to whatever you used to do. If you had a job or has been accepted to a school, But what happens if you have nothing to fall back to??? I have nothing to fall back to, that´s why i have been  and still is nervous to what is waiting for me out there when my son gets enrolled in the kindergarten. I have been off work for two years and i can feel that im scared of rejection or being told if im good enough.  I studied tourism and service management and i have checked out some jobs but man!!! i don´t even dare apply, but i know i gota coz it will be good for me to get out of the house and feel like im somebody. Get me back my identity, come home and tell the family of my day and adventures, so they can be proud of me. All this is a big deal now especially aft...
